Traditionally, at Christmas time Milan’s districts host many markets, good locations for a walk and for Christmas shopping. Here is the list of Christmas markets in Milan, happening every year, while you can check here for dates and opening times of this year’s Christmas markets.
1. Mercatino di Natale, in Piazza Duomo
This is one of the most traditional markets in town and it boasts a wide choice of accessories, small Christmas-style home decors and gifts as well as typical delicacies coming from any Italian region.

2. “Oh Bej! Oh Bej!”, in Piazza Castello
Also known by locals as “Saint Ambrose (Milan’s patron saint) Traditional Fair“, this market is particularly appreciated for its stunning location amidst the Sforza Castle besides its cozy atmosphere. In its stands, visitors can find a wide choice of food, home decors, small leather goods, hand-crafted scarves and accessories.

3. Creatività Artigiana, indoor market in Piazza Mercanti
National Show of Italian Arts and Crafts targeted at the re-discovery of typical Italian craftsmanship. Among its offers, visitors can purchase various products straight from the producers, take part to workshops and highlight on goods production techniques and live performances.

4. Green Christmas, near Piazza Spotorno
Green Christmas is the exclusive Christmas Market offering the chance of purchasing small pieces of furniture made of organic materials, as well as organic beauty products, eco-fashion garments and sustainable jewelry targeted at the promotion of a greener lifestyle.

5. Banco di Garabombo, in Pagano
This intimate space features a wide range of garments, accessories, home decors, beauty products and books entirely made in lands confiscated from the mafia and crafted in the safeguard of the environment.

6. Il Villaggio delle Meraviglie, Indro Montanelli Gardens (main photo)
Visitors to this markets can find many sweet delicacies such as sugar pancakes, cottoncandies and churros with dulce de leche spread. Moreover it boasts various entertainment activities.

7. Darsena Christmas Village, at Milan’s Darsena
The new-born market in the recently renewed area of Milan’s Darsena is the perfect spot to purchase small hand-crafted creations, Christmas decorations, wood sculptures and high-quality local food.

8. Cascina Cuccagna Christmas Market
At Cascina Cuccagna, set within an historical farmstead, on Tuesdays in December, guests can enjoy a wide selection of Christmas-styled home-made décor, natural raw products coming from local and organic farms, as well as traditional delicacies to taste on the go or to gift as Christmas presents.

9. Christmas Market at East Market Milano
On weekends guests to this East London-inspired market can find vintage and second-hand products, toys, old vinyls and jewellery, as well as street food to be eaten on place or to go. Visitors to this market can also enjoy the best of music played by exclusive dj sets.
