The most Milanese tradition features a 12 meter tall Christmas tree located in the heart of the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. On Christmas 2015 and 2016 the Christmas tree is being decorated with 1,000 Swarovski crystals – very appropriate for the fashion capital of Italy – a silver tree topper, and over 36,000 bright white lights, that are being turned on during a solemn ceremony and then shine in the Galleria until 6 January. A nice view for those who are buying Christmas gifts for their most beloved ones!
