The special Toilet Museum

Last May Stage Entertainment Events, in collaboration with TVN Media Group, has launched the project #AIUTAUNARTISTA, the first promotional platform for unknown artists featuring painters, sculptors, illustrators, graphic designers, digital, video and street artists, as well as photographers. A project born from and idea by Stage Entertainment Events, the branch of Dutch multinational Stage Entertainment boasting over 20 theatres in Europe and a rich private collection spread over many countries.
The project is designed to put debuting artist under the spotlight for a public which is not accostumed to visiting spaces traditionally reserved for exhibitions or displays. The art and talent of less-known artists will be brought out within unconventional, yet extremely popular locations, to create a direct meeting point between the wider public, the artist and his works.
On Friday 9 September the first step involving the publication of the call for artists on the official website of Milan’s Teatro Nazionale and the submission of all documents in digital format with a description of the participants’ art will be closed. The contents received during the latest months and gathered within the closing date, featuring top-level subscriptions, will be given an evaluation by an ad-hoc scientific committee, which will select the best 10 artists only.
The scientific committee features:
Marina Messina – Director of Milan Municipality’s Show Business Sector (former Director of Historical and Archaelogical Museum Centre)
Roberto Favaro – Department Dean and Lecturer of Brera Fine Art Accademy
Stefano Sbarbaro – TVN Media Group Art and Culture
Sergio Zafferini – Head of Stage Entertainment Events – Stage Entertainment Italy/Teatro Nazionale Milano
Glauco Cavaciuti – Gallery Owner and managing Director of Pandolfini Casa d’Aste
Valeria Monti – Collector and Advisory and Membership Board Member from Venice’s Peggy Guggenheim Collection

The steps following the selection by the committee will include:
– The promotion of the 10 selected artists with the monthly publication of a dedicated page on TVN Media Group magazines featuring each artist’s works, vision and direct contacts. Moreover the first TOILET MUSEUM will be set up within Teatro Nazionale featuring a display of the works.
– Following this step, the works by the selected artists will be displayed on the Milanese urban area in 10 vacant stores converted into personal art galleries, one for each artist and re-named CON-Temporanea.
This, because art is everywhere!
