Canton Ticino is renowned worldwide for its superb enogastronomic events. For the whole of 2015, in conjunction with Expo 2015, GastroTicino – the largest association of hotels and restaurants – is set to organize a slew of events either alone or in partnership with other associations.
Some examples? January will see the advent of the “Settimana ticinese della cazzoeula”, followed in February by the “Settimana del bollito misto”. March will play host to “Saporinlibertà”, a gastronomic fest offering the best cuisine of the region of Lugano. Conversely, at Easter, guests will be treated to the “Rassegna del capretto nero della Verzasca” followed by “Maggio gastronomico delle Tre Valli e del Bellinzonese”. From 17 to 27 September, the spotlight will be trained on “Settimana del Gusto” involving the participation of more than 80 restaurants; the rich calendar of gastronomic events will also include “Locarno Città del Gusto” (Locarno Tasty Town) which, for the whole of 2015, will feature a carousel of events and the “Festival del risotto” which on the weekend of 27 September will mark the end of the ten days of festivities. Those of you visiting the area in October, should make sure not to miss the “Rassegna Gastronomica del Mendrisiotto”.
