The charming village of Carona

Carona is a picturesque village located at the foot of Monte San Salvatore which prides itself on its exceptional historic and artistic heritage. In fact, the richness of its magnificent religious buildings almost equals the beauty of its countless ancient dwellings. These are evidence of the work of local craftsmen who, between the 15th and 18th centuries, worked all over Europe leaving traces of their mastery along the way. On returning to their birthplace they embellished their villages with fine buildings and ornate decorations.
