The basin of the Darsena, the old mercantile port of the city and a node of the vast fluvial system of ancient Navigli canals, extends between viale Gabriele D’Annunzio and viale Gorizia. A recent restyling of the old port, including the renovation of its two banks, with new pedestrian paths and green spaces, and the addition of landing stages for cruise boats, have once again made this district a symbol of Milan.
