In Italy, and especially in Milan, concerts for Easter Sunday are a well-loved tradition and a not-to-be-missed event. Though museums and art galleries are closed, their cultural offer can still be enjoyed online through virtual tours, themed activities, conferences, talks, interviews, videos and even kids-friendly initiatives. From Milan to Turin, Florence, Rome and Naples, some of the most important and well-loved museums in Italy are ready to make your Easter Sunday and Monday a great chance to discover the best of Italian art. You’re lucky, as some of these museums may be closed on Easter Sunday when regularly operating!

Listen to your favourite classical music

The Easter concert held yearly at Milan Auditorium by laVerdi orchestra is one of the most highly-awaited events in the city when it comes to Easter. Though this year the safety rules do not allow concerts, the gathering of many people in a closed space and the Auditorium is currently closed, you can still enjoy a selection of great masterpieces of classical music thanks to a playlist on Spotify powered by laVerdi. Indulge in some sweet treats

Colomba – the Italian word for dove – is the traditional sweet treat associated with Easter in Italy. It is baked into a special dove-shaped cake mould and is made of soft dough with natural leavening, with the addition of candied citrus fruits and topped with almonds, hazelnuts and sugar icing. Why not try to do it at home with some online tutorials? In case you feel lazy, don’t worry, some of the best pastry shops in Milan feature a convenient e-store or delivery service enabling you to receive your favourite Colomba cake at your home. These include Pasticceria Martesana, Peck, Marchesi 1824, to name but a few. Conversely, if you feel more into opening a delicious chocolate egg made of the finest chocolate you can browse the gourmet Easter eggs by the Italian chocolatier Venchi, or by Neuhaus – featuring fine Beligain chocolate. Please note that due to a
large number of online orders, the earlier you order your sweet treat, the more chances you have to receive it by Easter Sunday.
