BAM Circus – The Festival of Wonders in the Park is in its second edition at Biblioteca degli Alberi Milano, a project of the Riccardo Catella Foundation.
Three-day festival of street theater and contemporary circus arts in close connection with Nature, in the large botanical garden of BAM. A journey of wonder and amazement, capable of transporting young and old alike on an imaginative dreamlike journey. A unique international festival, free and open to all, which for three days brings street theater and contemporary circus arts to the city, developed around the concept of Wonder. Starting with the elements of air and earth, in constant dialogue with the figure of the human being and his eternal quest aimed at overcoming his own limits, the entire BAM Circus schedule aims to enhance the concepts of verticality, air, gravity and balance.
This year’s edition also draws important cultural references, with a show dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Antoine de Saint-Exupéry’s “The Little Prince,” an unprecedented performance inspired by the 100th anniversary of Italo Calvino’s birth, and a tribute to the White Clown, Fellini and the Clouds. Opening the International Festival on Friday, May 26, is a spectacular event: tightrope walker Andrea Loreni’s traverse of Milan’s skyscrapers from the iconic Bosco Verticale to the 140-meter-high UniCredit Tower.
