About the exhibition

Following a well-established tradition, every year during the festive period, Sala Alessi inside Palazzo Marino hosts a special display of precious masterpieces.
Now in its 13th edition, the traditional Christmas event at Palazzo Marino is titled “The Renaissance in Bergamo and Brescia. Lotto, Moretto, Savoldo, Moroni” and aims to promote Lombard art and emphasize the bond that unites Bergamo, Brescia and Milan in the 1500s.

What’s on display?

Through some works by Lotto, Moretto, Savoldo and Moroni, the exhibition illustrates the most spectacular achievements of the art from the sixteenth century, whose naturalistic vocation later served as a source of inspiration for the young Caravaggio.
