Cinderella on Ice: Imperial Ice Stars

After the great success of “Swan Lake on Ice,” which captivated Milanese audiences last season, the Imperial Ice Stars, the company formed by great international skating champions, return to the TAM Teatro Arcimboldi. Fascinating the audience for this season will be “Cinderella On Ice” another great ballet reinterpreted in the very special language that grafts the classical choreographic tradition onto the most acrobatic figure skating.
An adrenaline-pumping mix of ice dancing, jumps, high-speed pirouettes and spectacular special effects. And again the theater stage will be transformed for the occasion – thanks to sophisticated technical equipment – into a large skating rink.
Cinderella on Ice is a dramatic new interpretation of the classic fairy tale, conceived and choreographed by award-winning ice director Tony Mercer, together with three of the world’s most respected ice coaches: double Olympic gold medalist and four-time world champion Evgeny Platov, and 2006 and 2007 world ice dance champions Albena Denkova and Maxim Staviski.
Cinderella on Ice boasts stunning special effects, performed on a specially created stage frozen at minus 15 degrees Celsius, magnificent projected sets depicting a Siberian town square and a black and silver art deco theater, and gorgeous costumes.
