Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2022

The most prestigious historical cars become the absolute protagonists of the marvellous spaces of the Grand Hotel Villa d’Este, in Cernobbio, for the annual Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este 2022.
Considered one of the most eagerly-awaited beauty contests for historic vehicles, the competition hosts a precious collection of period cars and motorbikes, which help retrace the evolution of design and taste for the world of the two and four wheels throughout the decades. For three days, visitors have the chance to admire around 50 classic cars built between 1920 and the early 1980s, divided into categories and judged by a team of experts.

As for the previous editions, the contest also hosts a selection of prototypes for cars and motorbikes, as well as a collection of concept cars and concept bikes. The featured brands from include BMW, Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls Royce, Bugatti, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Volkswagen, Bentley, Alfa Romeo and many others besides.
This edition is dedicated to some important anniversaries. BMW M GmbH, the shortest of the Motorsport acronyms, crosses the half-century mark. The Motorsport theme is also reflected at Ferrari: the brand with the legendary Prancing Horse was born 75 years ago. The Grand Hotel Villa d’Este itself boasts even more evocative numbers: in 2022 it will celebrate its 150th season as a hotel of absolute international prestige.
For the first time, the “BMW Group-Best of Show by the jury” Trophy will be elected on Sunday afternoon after the show.
