About the competition
The great spectacle of basketball returns to Italy after more than thirty years with EuroBasket 2022 (the last edition was in Rome in 1991). The maximum continental competition for national teams with the best stars of European basketball lands in Milan, where the C Group of the 41st European Basketball Championship will be played. Germany (Cologne and Berlin) will host a group and the entire final phase, while two other groups have been assigned to Georgia (Tbilisi) and the Czech Republic (Prague).
The first match of the 41st edition of the European Championship will be held in Tbilisi (Georgia) on 1 September and will see Serbia against Bulgaria. In the Milan third Group, organised by the FIP-Federazione Italiana Pallacanestro (Italian Basketball Federation), which in 2021 celebrated its 100th anniversary, Greece, Croatia, Estonia, Ukraine and Great Britain will play alongside Italy.
The Azzurri will play all their matches at the Mediolanum Forum at 9pm: debut on 2 September against Estonia, then Greece on the 3rd, Ukraine on the 5th, Croatia on the 6th and Great Britain on the 8th.
