About the exhibition
111 works among sculptures, drawings, paintings, video installations, and photographs are on display for the first time in Italy for the exhibition “Corpus Domini. Dal Corpo Glorioso alle Rovine dell’Anima” to collectively capture the multiplicity of the ways in which the human being is represented.
The works on display are the result of the creativity by 34 internationally-renowned artists, some of which are considered true icons of contemporary art, are are spread over an overall surface of 1,000 sq.m.

As the title suggests, the exhibition focuses on the concept of disappearance of the ‘real body’ in favor of the ‘body of the spectacle’, theone peolpe generally use to deal with the spectacle-based society. In particular, the projects fosters a reflection on the crisis of sensory experience triggered by the advent of a culture that offers perfect bodies, modified bodies, bodies that have been re-conceived and re-produced.
