Palazzo Reale pays tribute to the art of calligraphy, one of the most venerated art forms in Chinese culture, with the exhibition “Out of the Blue. Viaggio nella calligrafia attraverso Alcantara”. Six renowned Chinese artists explore the subject by offering transversal responses through works that span classicism and contemporaneity.

During Alcantara’s sixth exhibition at Palazzo Reale, the artists exploit the rich possibilities of this medium to create dynamic connections in response to the aesthetics of the rooms of the prince’s Apartment. Through site-specific installations and digital projections, they draw on calligraphic practice to raise questions about the nature of humanity with the world through Taoist notions of temporality, life-force and participation.
