About the exhibition

Beautiful artistic glass creations become the protagonists of the spaces of Triennale di Milano for the exhibition “Vitrea. Vetro italiano contemporaneo d’autore“, featuring a selection of glass creations created by some of the greatest Italian master glassmakers.

Powered in collaboration with the Fondazione Cologni dei Mestieri d’Arte and curated by the gallery owner and glass expert Jean Blanchaert, Vitrea presents the best contemporary artistic productions representing Italian mastery in the manufacture of art glass.

Into more details

The works on display, which differ in technique, poetics and function, narrate the contemporary creative variety in glass making: from sculpture to lighting, from figurative works to stained glass, in blown glass, in lamp glass, in solid glass, in glass fusion, in mosaic glass and in moulded glass, as well as works in which glass is combined with other materials, such as iron and wood.
