After the stop of the 2020 edition for the COVID-19 pandemic, MIDO, the world’s most important trade fair for the optical industry, makes its comeback in Milan in the spaces of Rho Fiera Milano. The 50th edition of MIDO reconfirms the role of the fair as one of the leading events in the world of eyewear, as well as a meeting point for buyers, stakeholders and companies active in the sector. The fair is spread over different pavilions at Rho Fiera Milano and is divided into various sections which include: “Fashion District”, serving as the meeting point for big fashion brands that have branched into the eyewear sector; “Lenses”, gathering all innovations in the field of correction lenses; “Design Lab”, serving as a showcase for the most avant-garde, creative solutions; “More!”, a workshop for experimentation and new solutions with a focus on handmade eyewear; “Lab Academy”, focusing on creativity; “FAiR East”, featuring the participation of over 350 companies from the Far East; and “Tech”, a section dedicated to machines for eye checking and to spare part and components.
Moreover, to accommodate exhibitors and buyers who cannot attend the event, MIDO has also launched its brand-new B2B digital platform MIDO4U allowing all exhibitors to display their products virtually and make contact with interested buyers.
