About the event
A multiple Grammy Award nominee, Joe Lovano is one of the most prominent saxophonists of his generation. He will take to the stage at the Blue Note Milano with his Tapestry Trio for an evening of fluid musical rhythms, great ambient breath and warm lyricism.
The saxophonist will be joined by two musicians he has already met in the past, both the Philadelphia pianist Marilyn Crispell and the drummer Carmen Castaldi, who shared with Lovano the initial training at Berklee College and the subsequent experience of working with his groups.
About Joe Lovano
Born in 1952 in the heart of America, in Cleveland (Ohio), Joe Lovano has recorded and collaborated with the best contemporary jazz musicians: John Scofield, Herbie Hancock, Elvin Jones, Charlie Haden, Michel Petrucciani, Tom Harrel, McCoy Tyner, Ornette Coleman and many others. A musician deeply rooted in the past, Lovano represents at the same time the quintessence of the contemporary musician: open to exchanges and constantly looking for new stimuli to enrich and broaden the spectrum of his art.
