Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo

Six years after the last Italian tour, Les Ballets Trockadero de Monte Carlo, the iconic and irreverent all-male American company that knows how to combine impeccable technique and irrepressible comedy, returns to Milan. With a repertoire enriched by new reinterpretations, the show of great artistic depth ensures pure entertainment through ironic interpretations but performed with impeccable technique.
The ballet is not deformed in a banal and coarse way, but has the ability to accentuate with affection, irony and intelligence the most iconic features of classical ballet, the most common incidents, the hysterics of the most famous étoiles. The dancers, without apparent fatigue or difficulty, twirl on giant pointe shoes with their masculine physiques wrapped in vaporous tutus: they interpret all possible roles, transforming themselves into swans, sylphs, water sprites, romantic princesses, clumsy princes or anguished Victorian ladies, thus enhancing and celebrating the spirit of dance as an art form, delighting the spectators.

Born in 1974 in an ‘off-off-Broadway’ hall out of the passion of a group of dancers who enjoyed parodying traditional ballets ‘en travesti’, the Trocks soon conquered the international stage, and for over forty years they have been admired by audiences in over 600 cities and 40 countries worldwide.
