The anthological exhibition “Mario Dondero: la Libertà e l’Impegno (Freedom and Commitment) offers an extensive retrospective of the photographic work of Mario Dondero (1928-2015), one of the protagonists of Italian photography in the second half of the 20th century and a prominent photojournalist on the international scene.
On display are a selection of images belonging to reportage and photo reports made throughout his long career, from the 1950s to the 2000s. Along with many of the most iconic photographs, the exhibition features several previously unseen shots provided by the author’s archive, including portraits of Pier Paolo Pasolini and Laura Betti.
