MIA Fair 2022 – Milan Image Art Fair is the most important Italian fair dedicated to photography. This year it returns in the traditional spring appointment, after the tenth anniversary edition, exceptionally held last fall.
Also this edition – the 11th – will be hosted by Superstudio Maxi: more than 7,000 m² able to safely accommodate Italian and international exhibitors who will bring to Milan the best the world of photography is able to offer.
About the Fair
MIA Fair 2022 consists of several sections. The Main Section, the heart of the entire fair, will host a panel of exhibitors selected by the fair’s scientific committee.
Among the other sections: Beyond Photography- Dialogue, reserved for galleries promoting the most recent generations of international artists, and whose exhibition idea – conceived ad hoc for MIA Fair – proposes a dialogue between photography and a single work created with other artistic languages (sculpture, installation, painting and video). New for this edition is the Unexpected section, which proposes works in which photography explores the transformation of contemporary cultural processes by combining with other media, such as video and 3D animation.
The coordinated image of MIA Fair 2022 is signed by the Dutch artist Larissa Ambachtsheer (1993) who proposes works from the series You Choose, I seduce (2017).
