About the exhibition
April 2023 marks the return of the 27th edition of Miart, the international modern and contemporary art fair in Milan and one of the first in Europe.
The event continues to be a fundamental event for both the public and Italian and
international collectors in search of great masterpieces of the 20th century as well as
from the latest generations of contemporary artists and in signature design.
The 2022 edition
The fair’s sections have been reduced to three: Established, the main section hosting galleries exhibiting the most contemporary kind of works alongside those dedicated to twentieth century art, Decades, which exploring the history of the last century through
monographic projects from the 1910s to the 2010s, and Emergent, centred around younger galleries.
With galleries operating in 20 different countries from all over the world, the 2022 of the fair – the second directed by Nicola Ricciardi – has amplified its international scope and strengthened its ties with Milan and its institutions. It was the symbolic beginning of a new phase, the first movement in a movement of a potential new symphony, in an April full of major events for the art world.
