What’s on display
The display is made up of two parts. The archaeological section features over 70 precious objects from Egypt that are currently part of the collections of Milan’s Archaeological Museum in Milan, from the National Archaeological Museum in Florence, as well as objects on loan from private collections. Particular attention is given to the ‘Corredo Busca’, which includes a mummy, a sarcophagus, an extremely interesting 7-meter long Papyrus and the beautiful statue of the god Amon, with the features of the young Tutankhamun. The second part features immersive screenings and installations, enhanced by original soundtracks and by studies by expert researchers on Egypt. The exhibition tackles the mystery of death and life in the afterworld, as well as it sheds light on the complex and multiple features of the ancient Egyptian civilization.
