The “Mercatone dell’Antiquariato” is a large antiques market taking place on the last Sunday of every month along the entire first stretch of the Naviglio Grande, from Viale Gorizia to the bridge on Via Valenza, on a nearly two-kilometer route all overlooking the banks of Milan’s oldest canal. It hosts more than 380 exhibitors monthly, mainly antiques, with two streets, Corsico and Paoli, dedicated to quality vintage. The show hosts carefully selected and inspected stalls at each edition.
Antiques, Modern Antiques and Vintage are the three areas of interest in this market which exhibits furniture, watches, porcelain, silverware, jewelry, dolls, games, collectibles, books, eyeglasses, radios, modern antiques, sticks, bronzes, glassware, comics and prints are carefully displayed, available to citizens and international tourism.
During the course of the event, all the shopkeepers in the area, as well as all the numerous eateries and art studios, remain open to make the day of visiting the exhibition enjoyable.
