About the exhibition
The new solo exhibition by Omar Hassan, who has become famous for his highly personal action painting and unmistakable style, is of great visual and emotional impact. Hassan sees the act of fighting as a metaphor for life and turns it into art, winning over collectors such as De Niro, Spike Lee and Sharon Stone. Also described as an “artist boxer“, in this exhibition designed for the spaces of the Fondazione Stelline the artist reveals new aspects of his art, an expression of different moods, an explosion of energy and at the same time intimate introspection. Time and the obsession for its flowing subtend his artistic research.
The exhibition will feature seven installations, made up of some twenty works, including the Map of Berlin and the Map of Milan, created ad hoc for the exhibition and made with 8928 spray can caps painted one by one with fingers, “to give importance to the individual, because each of us is fundamental to creating a harmonious and serene whole”.
