Organ Sounds in the Cathedral

Every Saturday until June 2023, appointments in music will continue with the Great Organ of Milan Cathedral, the largest in Italy.
In the framework of the “Sonorità organistiche in Duomo” (Organ Sounds in the Cathedral) event, the public is offered an unmissable opportunity to listen to music: the melodies that blend with the architectural harmonies of the Cathedral are entrusted to the hands of Maestro Alessandro La Ciacera. The concerts in the Cathedral will be held every Saturday from 4.45pm to 5.15pm, before the vigil Eucharistic celebration. It will be an opportunity to discover the complexity of this magnificent instrument made up of more than 15,800 pipes, protagonist of a powerful restoration of the mechanical parts carried out by the Veneranda Fabbrica starting in 2019. The restoration of the large 17th-century doors that cover the Organ continues.
