About the exhibition

The exhibition “Passo a Due”, set up in the octagonal cloister of the Gallerie d’Italia museum, aims to recount some moments of Roberto Bolle’s career through thirty shots by a great photographer, Giovanni Gastel. The étoile and the recently-departed photographer represent two apparently different identities who have transformed Art into their profession and their reason for living.
The exhibition is an ideal “pas de deux” that sums up a long friendship and mutual respect in a symbolic choreography, highlighting the power of Art in all its kaleidoscopic forms.

Into more details

Dance and photography are two universes that come together under one roof as they share the same attention for aesthetic perfection, made up of shapes, harmony and extensions to the limit of the possible. According to Gastel and Bolle, the desire to always go further, beyond the technique, which, once learned, must be forgotten in order to leave room for one’s own uniqueness, as the two protagonists of this exhibition well testify.
