Photofestival 17th edition

Photofestival, the photography festival that aims to support and spread the great passion for photographic images, is back. After the success of the previous 16 editions – with 1,650 photographic exhibitions, 1,600 Italian and foreign authors, and 707 different exhibition spaces – the festival is extending more and more over the territory, becoming a reference point for all the components of the world of photography. As of this year, in fact, it is expanding to other Italian provinces such as Bergamo, Trento, Venice and Bologna, thanks to the involvement of photography shops.
The title of this new edition is ‘Ricominciare dalle immagini. Investigations into reality and inner gazes” and invites us to reflect on the importance of images to observe the world, and ourselves, with different eyes, recovering a normality that has never before been appreciated.
Under the artistic direction of Roberto Mutti, the festival will bring its cultural content – almost all of it free of charge – to art galleries, institutional and private spaces, historical buildings, museums, libraries and shops, organising as always workshops, meetings, presentations, portfolio readings and guided tours.
