“Ulysses, the Last Odyssey” staged at the TAM Teatro Arcimboldi is an original creation that tells the story of Odysseus through a contamination of languages directed by Giuliano Peparini, to a libretto by Francesco Morosi, with Giuseppe Sartori as Ulysses.
Aided by a cantor and urged on by a chorus of travelers, Odysseus narrates his extraordinary journeys: and so Calypso, the Cyclops, the Sirens, Circe, Scylla, Charybdis face his memory and come to life on stage, in a continuous and fascinating interweaving of Homer’s words, music, and dance. “Ulysses, the Last Odyssey” is a thrilling journey into the fervor of adventure and the pain of memory. The new production of the INDA Foundation is a modern and contemporary show that will be set in an airport and will see almost 100 artists on stage. On stage, the music of the Canadian folk-rock group Reuben and the Dark, contemporary dance and theater dialogue fluidly, remaining at the service of Homer’s classic text.
