About the event

The spaces of Superstudio Maxi, serve as the ideal backdrop to the very first edition of (un)fair, a new concept of contemporary art fair. Spread over an overall surface of 10,000 square metres, “(un)fair, (un)discovered art in an (un)expected fairfeatures the participation of around 70 international galleries, with a specific focus on emerging talents.

Into more details

Held under the creative direction of Manuela Porcu and Laura Gabellotto (who share a long experience in the direction of the Affordable Art Fair), (un)fair was conceived to offer new ways of interacting with the art world, involving and creating new generations of collectors and supporting the art system.

The programme of the first edition of (un)fair stems from the presentation of the works and collectibles, which will tell ‘stories’ of our times, to various side events, which will be designed to provide useful content for understanding the contemporary art scene. Contents are introduced but not in an academic way, but as engaging as possible: from music to performances, to moments of ‘smart’ study but also of play.

Why (un)fair?

The name itself (un)fair well explains the concept behind the event. It indeed is considered a fair-not-fair as it aims to find new ways of talking about art compared to traditional fairs and new ways to involve the public and bring people closer to collecting contemporary art.
