You Are Verdi

You Are Verdi is a new virtual reality journey through time and space designed to tell and make visitors experience the story of Giuseppe Verdi firsthand.
An exciting new project between real and virtual dedicated to Italy’s best-known and most popular composer to whom the Teatro alla Scala in Milan will pay tribute for the opening of the new season with the 7 December Premiere of “Don Carlo“.
A true journey through time during which, five times, participants will be transported into the incredible story of Giuseppe Verdi thanks to Virtual Reality technology and faithful philological reconstructions of Milan at the time. Spectators will be immersed in the history of the Risorgimento thanks to the musician’s most famous arias, from “Nabucco” to “Otello”, from the popular trilogy to “Aida”.
The physical route winds through the center of Milan to discover Verdi’s places that welcomed the young composer: from the Teatro alla Scala, to the Grand Hotel Et De Milan, to Manzoni’s house and Piazza S. Fedele.

The immersive virtual experience is an initiative of Way Experience, the media company among the leaders in Italy of Virtual Reality projects in the cultural tourism sector and winner of the Oscar dell’Innovazione-Premio Angi 2022.

Practical info
Tours (in Italian) have a capacity of 37 people.
Tours will take place on weekends, approximately every 45 minutes from 10am to 8pm (times vary according to seasonality – check the website to stay up-to-date on tour times in real time).
Participants are required to arrive 15 minutes before the start of the experience.
The meeting point for participants is Piazzetta Enrico Cuccia: a branded bike will mark the place to meet and distribute the viewers.
