The Ermanno Scervino SS15 collection was revealed this morning on the Corso Venezia. White linen was draped behind the runway and a small lantern twinkled between elegant white columns.
This was the kind of show that transfixes you from the first look straight through to the last. Every look was exquisite and icon-esque, perfectly reminiscent of 1950s Hollywood star style. A sentiment that could only be amplified by the appearance of Model of the Moment Diane Groeneveld, with her wide jaw, doe eyes and blonde locks, she is every bit the modern day Bardot.
The colour palette was a beautiful collection of soft colours, powder blue, snow white and soft greys. All looks were cut beautifully, with feminine elegance and grace being an integral feature. Large, bejewelled earrings complementing the colour palette were worn in the models’ lobes.
The collection featured a number of snow white, caped mantel coats which came in slight variations in cut and different fabrics. Timeless and always current due to their instant glamorous appeal and regal air, (Kate Middleton take note.)
Make-up was done by Jessica Nedza and her Mac Pro team; models sported dewy skin and nude lips, while hair was worn in elegant matrimonial chignon.
We caught Ermanno Scervino Stylist Simone Marini, (see picture above) for a brief chat after the show who talked to us about his decision to add a white mink collar to the beautiful crochet mantle coat to add some ultimate 50’s chutzpah to the look.
Favourite piece? The black, embellished body featuring a deep v neckline and peplum was one of my personal favourites.
Where to buy the collection?
