It’s official, MFWSS15 has started!
Chicca Lualdi SS15
All the action kicked off at 9am this morning with the Chicca Lualdi Show. The show took place in Via Clerici 5, a beautiful old Palazzo; a perfect setting for the stunning collection.
A remix of Lana Del Rey’s Summertime Sadness played out as the lights dimmed, Rey is famed for her use of 60s elements in her sound, styling and lyrics and indeed the soundtrack set the tone for the entire collection.
The first look to hit the runway: a mustard yellow Aztec patterned coat. Patterns were a big feature of this collection, with a baroque pattern also featuring in dark gold and pink shades.
While the collection featured structured tailoring, the overall look was strikingly feminine. Structured jackets were coupled with soft hemlines that floated effortlessly underneath white Palazzo pants or skirts; a touch that confirmed the collection’s winning elegance.
The collection was fittingly accessorised by sunglasses label Sunboo, the label’s sunglasses are 85% handmade and the frames are composed of  a bamboo and wood mix. Models wore a variety of cat eye and oversized round frames reflecting the hippie chick undercurrent that ran through the entire collection.
Favourite Item in the collection: Short pink sporty dress.
Favourite feature to watch: Crisp white Kimono Sleeves, (already an established trend) but looks set to hit the mainstream this Spring Summer15.
