The oldest acetaia in the world, founded in 1605, has recently inaugurated its “experiential gallery” in Via Spadari, a place to enjoy the most authentic Aceto Balsamico di Modena. First shop on the company situated outside the Emilia-Romagna region, Acetaia Giusti chose Milan, the capital of fashion and Italian design, as a stepping stone to make known to an ever wider audience the authentic Aceto Balsamico di Modena.

A TEMPLE OF ITALIAN CRAFTSMANSHIP
An elegant and sophisticated environment where the precious balsamic vinegar is guarded and sold, a product that was called “Black Gold of Modena” during the Renaissance.
In this flagship store of 125 square meters, it is possible to taste a product of the highest quality of Italian tradition, unique to the world. In this new space that celebrates the history and excellence of the great Emilian cuisine in the world, 60 secular barrels and ancient objects of vinegar art are found to live a real experience of taste.

NEW EXPERIENTIAL GALLERY
With its five windows at the intersection of Via Spadari and Via Victor Hugo, Bottega Giusti puts its centre in an area dedicated to tasting, where customers can make a real sensory trip to the discovery of the long production process of Aceto Balsamico. Thanks to the presence of a real battery of old oak barrels where the ageing of balsamic vinegar takes place, the staff can explain to their customers the ancient method of refill and decanting from one barrel to the next, and then proceed to the olfactory examination of the final product, to the evaluation of its colour, and finally to the tasting.

THE OLDEST ACETAIA IN THE WORLD
Founded in Modena in 1605, the “Gran Deposito Aceto Balsamico di Giuseppe Giusti” is the oldest acetaia in the world. Now in its 17th generation, the company has its seat in a farm on the outskirts of Modena that keeps 600 historical barrels of the 17th and 19th centuries still in operation. Together with the Museo Giusti dedicated to family memory and tasting, the vinegar factory represents the great value and infinite passion of the Giusti family.
