Tradition, authenticity, quality and freshness make the Forte Restaurant in the Porta Nuova district the new natural destination for all fish lovers in Milan. In one of Milan’s most vibrant nightlife districts, a stone’s throw from Corso Como and the futuristic Piazza Gae Aulenti, an all-Italian proposal of fine dining, with excellent, fresh ingredients in an elegant setting. The brainchild of young Italian restaurateur Andrea Reitano, Forte is the second location inspired by the same mood after the one at 150 Ocean Drive, Miami, frequented by the American star system including Johnny Depp, Michael Jordan, Drake and Rihanna.

AN EVOCATIVE SETTING
Located on the ground floor, adjacent to the lobby of the NH Milano Palazzo Moscova, Forte welcomes its guests in an evocative setting reminiscent of an authentic fish market. Its dark walls, paintings and maritime-themed details, together with the large velvet curtains in rich, intense colours, frame the spectacular counter with the fresh catch, the bar with the most popular and exclusive spirits and the corner for preparing raw fish and tartare. In the summer season the restaurant also opens up to a 70-seat terrace, ideal for chic aperitifs and open-air fish and crudités dinners.

GENUINE, QUALITY DISHES
Dishes coming out of the 140-seat restaurant‘s kitchen include sea bass, accompanied by avocado and lime, and red prawn tartare, served plain and seasoned simply with lemon. No shortage of colourful salads or delicate pistacchio ice cream, the dessert loved by all the celebrities at its sister restaurant in South Beach. The wines that accompany the menu come from important wine regions of Italy and France, from winemakers such as Antinori, Frescobaldi and Gaja, traditionally known for their extraordinary ability to enhance fish menus. The cellar houses over 3,000 bottles.
