NEW OPENING – The highly awaited brainchild of Italian businessman Lapo Elkann – Garage Italia Milano – is set to open in the former gas station Agip Supercortemaggiore in Piazzale Accursio. Born from an important restyling project by aMDL studio and curated by archistar Michele De Lucchi, Garage Italia Milano conjures up a top restaurant, a cocktail bar and a garage offering top-notch customisation services for cars, boats, planes and motorbikes, with countless custom options in materials and designs. The spaces, evocative 0f the lines of the 50s though enhanced by contemporary touches cover an overall surface of 1,700 sm over two levels with tailor-made furnishing and important collection pieces such as vintage Ferraris and small scale models. On the first floor, an elegant restaurant and a bar, both curated by Michelin-starred chef Carlo Cracco, play teh role of true protagonist serving favorites of Italian cuisine with a twist, from breakfast to the after dinner. A dedicated area, recalling the lines of a Riva Aquarama boat can be booked for private events.
