A prime example of baroque style architecture, the Chiesa di Sant’Alessandro (Church of St. Alexander) was built in around 1601 on top of the location of Martyr St. Alexander’s place of imprisonment in Milan. The facade  is decorated with bas-reliefs and bordered by tow bell towers. In fact, the facade of Rome’s famous Church of St. Agnes in Agony was influenced by Chiesa di Sant’Alessandro.
