The Fondazione Stelline, a historic Milanese institution founded in 1986, is today recognised as an important place for culture and design, an inclusive and multidisciplinary reality located in the economic and cultural heart of the city. The Foundation develops research projects and explores artistic expressions increasingly oriented towards international collaborations, which express the cultural vocation of the Fondazione Stelline, responding to an open and fluid vision of contemporaneity. Exhibitions dedicated to contemporary art and great auteur photography, as well as concerts, reading meetings, conferences, publications and attic workshops for children and families, are actively included in the city’s programming and carefully dialogue with the proposals and innovations of the international cultural scene.
The Fondazione Stelline is located in the area historically known as ‘Orti di Leonardo’, opposite one of the places most deeply rooted in the history and art of our city, Leonardo da Vinci. Today the ancient palace lives again thanks to a restoration that preserves and enhances all its uniqueness. It is also home to a Congress Centre, a place for communication, fashion, technology, science and education, art and culture.
