Villa Erba is a 19th-century villa in Cernobbio, on the shores of Lake Como. It was built by Luigi Erba to show off his wealth. Among his descendants had inhabited the villa there is also the famous filmaker Luchino Visconti. In 1986, the building was bought by a public consortium to use as an exposition and congress center. The Exhibition and Conference Centre has been built in 1988 by famous Architect Mario Bellini as a modern greenhouse overlooking the park.
