In addition to confirming itself as the world’s leading marketplace for the Italian product, BIT-Borsa Internazionale del Turismo brings together under one roof a broad representation of all the supply chains, from Italian Regions to foreign Tourism Authorities, from Consortia to private operators, hôtellerie and carriers.
From Sunday 12 to Tuesday 14 February 2023, the next edition of the BIT will take place at Allianz MiCo. On this occasion, sellers will present the best of an offer capable of responding to the evolving needs of travellers, thanks to the three exhibition macro-areas: “Leisure” with the proposals of destinations and operators, “BeTech” for digital services and start-ups, and the “MICE Village” entirely dedicated to business travel.
Hundreds will be the highly profiled buyers expected from all over the world, with particularly numerous presences from the USA, Spain, France, Canada and Germany, as well as Poland, Brazil, Saudi Arabia, the Arab Emirates and the Netherlands among others.
The great attention to sustainability, which is by now part of Fiera Milano’s DNA, will be the leitmotif of BIT 2023 with proposals for an increasingly attentive traveller, who wants to experience the destination not “as a tourist”, but with the same respect and authenticity as the locals: from slow tourism to affordable luxury, from bleisure to nature and the outdoors.
The renewed event format “Bringing Innovation Into Travel” offers a rich programme ranging from the hottest trends, such as the metaverse, augmented reality, 4.0 and digital nomads, to professionalising workshops for operators.
The big trends will be the protagonists of appointments such as ‘Territories and metaverse’, ‘Nature Tourism’; then ‘The Era of Bleisure’ and ‘Incoming and Proximity Tourism’.
Finally, technology and digital transformation represent another important challenge for the sector and there are numerous dedicated appointments in the programme schedule.
