Coinciding with the worldwide launch of the Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama collection, the Maison celebrated the opening of its new Milanese space dedicated to special projects. The Japanese artist has created a series of works for the Maison which are currently being installed in Milan.

After 20 years of inactivity in the former Garage Traversi, next to Via Montenapoleone, these spaces have been handed back to the city completely renovated. The new spaces are developed on three levels: the ground floor and second floor are dedicated to men’s and women’s clothing and accessories, while the first floor is destined to host the maison’s special projects, with a calendar that alternates immersive pop-ups with artistic and cultural exhibitions.

Almost all of Louis Vuitton’s items are contaminated by Japanese artist’s motifs and imaginings of the infinite: bags, shoes, sunglasses, jewellery surrounded by spaces and surfaces decorated with her obsessive dots.
Here customers are invited to enjoy a unique shopping experience: wandering around the shop they can discover the collections, surrounded by vintage furniture from the Italian design heritage, works of art and objects from the maison’s historical archive.
