Kathay, the historical ethnic food store previously located in the small via Rosmini, has opened the doors to its new home in the heart of the Milanese Chinatown, at n. 54 via Canonica. Stretching over a surface of 1,000 s.m. and spread over two stories, the store is has already become a reference point for both Milanese in search of traditional flavours from the Orient, as well as for people coming to Italy from foreign countries who aim to find typical products from their hometown. The high-quality goods on sale, divided into 5 different areas featuring grocery, dairies, wines and spirits, deep fried products and traditional home decor include a vast array of typical delicacies, as well as an accurate selection of small pieces of furniture and home ware to serve each creation in full respect of the traditions of each country. Japanese, Thai, Chinese, Korean, Philippine, Indian, Middle-Eastern ingredients, but not only, as besides products from Latin America, the basement hosts specific publications on the different cultures, teas, organic products and all the necessary produce for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free diets, to satisfy any nutritional need without giving up on taste.
