Lorenzi Milano Re-Opens Near San Babila

Historic Milanese cutler Lorenzi has re-opened in the city’s imposing Palazzo Bolchini in piazza Meda. The Lorenzi family’s fascinating story began in 1929, when the company was founded by Giovanni Lorenzi in via Montenapoleone, which was, at that time, a residential area inhabited by aristocrats and Milan’s bourgeoisie. The cutler’s shop became famous for its range of high-end products, displayed on beautiful wooden shelves. Sadly in 2014, a decision was made to close the boutique and discontinue the brand, but now Lorenzi Milano represents an evolution and the rebirth of GLorenzi, with the opening of this new boutique. The interior is spread over 180 square meters with three window displays, and has been designed to reflect the atmosphere of the brand’s former historic ‘bottega’, interpreted with a more contemporary look. The original stuccoes have been brought back to their original splendour, together with the walnut shelves that decorate the boutique. In addition to a wide range of knives, the shop boasts an assortment of other beautifully crafted items including travel accessories, grooming tools, and objet d’art in horn, precious woods, bamboo and mother-of-pearl. The company also creates bespoke items to meet the requirements of discerning customers.
