NEW OPENING

The wait is over as, after the announcement of its opening in the city, Japanese brand UNIQLO has officially made its inception in the heart of Milan, in Piazza Cordusio. Located just steps from another massive international store – Starbucks Reserve Roastery – the new UNIQLO store was born to create an ideal meeting point between Tokyo and Milan, as well as between Japanese and Italian culture. Starting from the key concept of LifeWear imagined as “Clothing to make life better”, to pay tribute to the city of Milan UNIQLO has selected local partners and collaborators to create a common ground for culture, art, nature and sustainability. Spread over three storeys and enhanced by a large-size installation by Milanese artist Olimpia Zagnoli, the store offers the full range of UNIQLO-branded products spanning from cashmere sweaters in over 50 colours, to jeans and denim featuring a particular attention to reuse and sustainability, as well as the iconic Ultra Light Down coats, vests and jackets, and the largest collection of UT (Uniqlo printed T-shirt) in Europe. The collections are displayed alongside products by Italian brands such as Maruni, Medea, Rossignoli and Seletti and notebooks by Hokusai coming from the Oriental Art Museum – Mazzocchi collection.
