Probably the most well-known symbol of Milan in the common imaginary, the Duomo Cathedral has a long history to tell. Its construction began in 1386 with the use of only the finest marble and it was completed only in 1965. What we can see now is a majestic Neo-Gothic building conjuring up beautiful architectural elements and important religious function, with decorated glass windows and panoramic terraces, where people can walk surrounded by spires and pinnacles.
