My job is never monotonous because our city is lively, offers many ideas, dozens of events every day, and offers a wide range of entertainment, sightseeing and fun, so it is always a pleasure to welcome and offer suggestions to tourists from all over the world. Technology facilitates travellers, but the human relationship is indispensable: one must interpret their needs and suggest places to visit with passion. Every day is different: we work by interpreting visitors’ needs, creating new brochures, itineraries, different cards. I still remember the months of EXPO Milano 2015, with an average of 10,000 people a day and the many compliments from tourists who had been to the exhibition and had visited the city: truly exciting!

The Famedio at the Monumental Cemetery

The place that moves me most is the Monumental Cemetery, which in my opinion encapsulates all the grandeur of Milan. The hectic city life in this place does not exist, it is beautiful to walk among the monumental tombs and the centuries-old trees… everything is perfectly in order, indicative of a very well organised and excellent city. I often suggest this place to tourists, especially if in describing their holiday they tell me that they have already been to other cities of art and have visited many museums, because our Cemetery, with its Famedio with the names of the people who have made the city great, is unique!

I am proud to be Milanese and to work for my city: I am even prouder when I perceive that tourists have had a good impression and are happy to be here.
