July 2023 – Milan is undoubtedly a tourist destination of great interest: having overcome the difficult period of the pandemic, it has once again become a popular destination for both Italians and foreigners, mostly from North America and Central Europe, but also from China. We are talking about record numbers, higher even than those recorded in 2019, the golden year of tourism in Milan: in the first five months of 2023, 3.3 million arrivals were exceeded in the city, and in the urban area there are already more than 4.5 million. We are very satisfied with how the year is progressing, and we hope to confirm the trend, thanks also to the important international sports events scheduled for this summer, from the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup to the World Fencing Championships and the European Jumping Championship.
