A triumphal arch celebrating Napoleon’s victories situated between the Arena Civica and the Torre Branca now serves as the entrance to Parco Sempione. The Arco della Pace is one of the most interesting elements of Neoclassical architecture in Milan. In the same vicinity as one of the original roman gates, Arco della Pace use to be called Porta Giovia, the name of the Roman gate. Due to the dense concentration of bars, clubs, and restaurants located around the Arco della Pace, it is one of the best places in town to experience the “Milanese movida”.
