The “Eden” benefit evening at La Scala was organized in aid of the Francesca Rava-NPH Italia ETS Foundation and features U.S. mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato. Conducted by Maxim Emelyanychev and directed by Marie Lambert-Le Bihan, the evening’s program features a highly articulate performance on the notes of Gustav Mahler, Georg Friedrich Händel, Christoph Willibald Gluck, Charles Ives, Rachel Portman, Marco Uccellini, Biagio Marini, Josef Mysliveček, Aaron Copland, Giovanni Valentini and Francesco Cavalli. The Il Pomo d’Oro Orchestra performs with the Treble Voices Chorus of Teatro alla Scala Academy.
