About the exhibition

Role Play, at the Osservatorio di Fondazione Prada, is a group exhibition of 11 international artists who through photographs, videos and performances investigate the concepts of identity, identification and role-playing.
The tools of this exploration start from photography, cross the language of video and project themselves towards the Metaverse and digital avatars. Imagining oneself in a role play, interpreting a myriad of different roles, travelling through time or putting oneself in the shoes of another person become different paths to carry out an investigation of oneself and of the external image that derives from it. The artists in the exhibition at the Osservatorio move along this experimental ground, showing how photography can become the ideal means for a reflection on oneself and on the other.
