McArthurGlen introduces its new installation Twist – La vita in sintesi (literally: Twist – Life in a Summary), specifically made by Mario Airò and curated by Angela Vettese to be hosted at the terrace of the Triennale Museum on the occasion of this year’s Design Week. Consisting in a optical fibre changing its colour while moving or rotating, Twist is a meld Italian and Russian futurism, research by Moholy-Nagy and Poor Art creations by Californian artists. The aim of Airò’s creation is to evoke the different shades of the city, as well as its ever changing features throughout a curvy movement, in a soft and smooth shift from one aspect to another and makes guests feel embraced by design and the surrounding nature. The theme of change, energy flow and transformation is also enhanced by a soundtrack expressly created by visual artist and composer Martino Genchi to lead visitors to the installation feel as in a ideal trip throughout space and time.
Those interested in visiting the installation can see it from 14 April until the end of Design Week on 17 April, though the work will still be visible after this date, as it will be relocated inside McArthurGlen spaces at Serravalle Designer Outlet.
